The Economic Times through its annual D&I summit thrives to be a progress Indicator for the strategies and practices being adopted by India Inc that lead to a greater impact.

Ultimately, leaders are responsible for collaborating on diverse and inclusive teams, making equitable and transparent decisions, and exhibiting inclusive behavior and practices. Learning sessions, advocacy engagements, media and social media are all part of the summit that aim to elevate diverse partners and community members.

In view of ETILC’s objective to drive Change through the member camaraderie, we aim to develop focused forum groups to address these with a mission of amplifying and implementing them across India Inc in maximum measure. The larger agenda of the ET D&I summit is to spread focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion through the formation of DEI Committee by leveraging relationships with senior leadership and the involvement from partners and speakers to drive the national agenda of ‘Change Advocacy.’

Lavanya Shrinagesh is the global CSR and diversity and inclusion (D&I) leader for Genpact. As a CSR leader, she leads programs that harness the energy and talent of our employees for the economic, social, and environmental betterment of the communities we live and work in.

Her role as a D&I leader involves steering initiatives to create a gender balanced organization with 50% representation of women across all levels. Prior to her current role, Lavanya designed and implemented Genpact’s Contact Center Eco System, creating “I speak,” CAC and developed the training contact center model. She has more than 18 years of work experience across the hiring, HR and learning and development domains.

She specializes in creating hiring tools that map to job competencies, building learning and development plans to bridge the skill gap. In addition to this, Lavanya has also worked in the luxury retail and education sector.

Madhavan Narayanan is an editor, journalist, writer and columnist with more than 35 years of experience in both Indian and international environments. As the Head of SAP User Enablement, Sindhu leads a global unit which provides a consistent, intelligent, and personalized enablement for SAP’s entire product portfolio.

Sindhu joined SAP in 1999 when SAP Labs India set up its operations in Bangalore and later moved to SAP’s headquarters in Walldorf, Germany. She has worked on various products, technology and innovation platforms and held several strategic and leadership positions managing global teams. She has played a pivotal role in shaping SAP’s Integration strategy by growing SAP’s Integration product portfolio as Head of Product Management for SAP Integration Suite, IoT and SAP Process Orchestration. Her deep technical expertise and business knowledge led her to head the critical integration function in SAP’s Technology and Innovation organization in the Office of the CTO. Sindhu is a member of the NASSCOM Executive Council – the apex industry body for the IT/IT enabled services in India. She is also a member of the Steering committee of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, an industry body driving the Bilateral trade and deliberations.
